Description: The chastity belt is a procedure that chokes the idea of physical purity— an idea often given to female youth, stemming from patriarchal power within religious ceremony. This religious enhancement of forcing desperate truths such as purity is strung along when looking at the previous stillborn lamb (Beatrice: The Light). Impetigo valleys over ideas of pain and temperance given with the human form. This work represents the notion of the pressure and pain imbedded within the religious/societal ideal of pureness, youth, and innocence.
